Luxe Nails

Not sure I would recommend. The employees and location were very nice, but the nail tech did get gel polish all over my skin. I personally did my best during the appointment to remove extra polish from my skin, but it was gel cured all over many of my fingers, which may lead to a gel allergy for me. I was really disappointed by this level of unprofessional nail care by the tech. The shaping and overall quality of the nails was not worth the price. I ended up reshaping my nails when I got home and having to file away imperfections. This was my first time here, and while the team and location is nice, I can’t recommend it with my experience. I hope the salon will take more care of ensuring skill level when hiring and lowering prices if you’re paired with someone in training.

Being greeted immediately by the friendly staff was so nice. My wait was less than 5 minutes. If I could give John 10 stars I would. I explained exactly what I wanted, he listened and made sure I was pleased before I left. I’m returning for a pedicure next week. If you’ve been looking for a great nail salon go see the wonderful employees at Luxe Nails. You will not be disappointed.

The pedicures are nice, and I’ve had decent experiences before these last two, but be ready to speak up for yourself at this salon. You know your nails and skin’s tolerance for acetone better than anyone. May 11: went for a fill in and told the nail tech a I use my nails a lot and need them thicker than the average person. I said this so many times the tech finally snipped at me saying “I’ve been doing nails 22 years” so I let it go. May 27: my tip breaks. Even if you’ve been doing nails 22 years, you haven’t been doing my specific nails for 22 years, so I wish she simply would have listened. **a fill in lasts 2-3 weeks, but the tips shouldn’t be breaking. May 28: I called ahead to make sure they had time for acrylic removal and a full set. The tech wraps my fingernails in foil and acet

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Absolutely and unbelievably awful. To start, my appointment was at 10:30- I did not sit in a chair until 11:40. After they let the 3rd person who entered the shop in front of me, I gently spoke up and reminded them that my appointment was over an hour ago and the man apologized and let me be seated with someone. I brought my 2 daughters and her friend for services: 1 acrylic fill (me), 2 full sets, and 1 child mani and pedi. I let the girls go ahead of me and again waited for over an hour even though had made appointments. My nails were horrible- I asked for almond and I can’t even describe this shape; they also got acrylic all over my skin and it burns really bad I may have to remove a nail. I have been going to Luxe Nails and receiving services from Lynn for about 6/7 months now and she does such a great job. She really takes great care of my nails (even when I break one, she does her best to repair), she pays attention to what I ask for and gives me a fantastic experience every time I visit. I get gel manicures about twice a month and gel pedicures about once every other month. I don’t tend to ask for a whole lot of nail art, but even when I do, she emulates exactly what I ask. The other nail techs here are also great and always very friendly when I speak to them. I plan to continue using Luxe Nails for as long as I live in Wilmington! 😊
