Luxe Nails and Spa Acton

Do NOT come here for a special occasion. I was completely disregarded in my requests for my WEDDING nails, even after I’d been going here for YEARS. I spoke up for what I wanted a little more than usual, as it was for my WEDDING. I was told “they’re fine” after I asked for the dip powder to be shaped more narrow. I asked for oval and they were so round and bulky, and I asked for a light pinky/nude color, and they were ORANGE. I even showed multiple pictures (I added one here) for inspiration. I was gaslit into thinking I got what I wanted, but it absolutely was not. They were just so bad, and I’ll never go back. It’s weird that of all the times I had been to this salon, my wedding nails were the worst they’ve ever done. I got them fixed somewhere else a day later.

I never get my nails done, so take my review with a grain of salt because maybe I don't know what I'm talking about... anyway, I came here to have gels removed (I had them done elsewhere for a special occasion). I don't think the lady let the acetone sit long enough, because she really had to scrape my fingernails hard to remove the polish. It was painful and I ended up with bruising under my nails, as well as places at my fingertips where the nail lifted off the nail bed. The lady also used a very rough buffer, so the tops of my nails are scratched and gouged. Again, I'd never had gels before and so never had them removed, so maybe this is de rigueur, but I'm still waiting for my nails to just grow out so I can clip the scratched bits. I'm new to the area, so needed a new nail salon. Found Luxe Nails and have been thrilled. The pedicures are invigorating and relaxing at the same time. Nancy does a great job with the foot and calf massage! The owners/schedulers have always tried their best to work me into the schedule, considering I work a lot of hours and have limited free time. The entire staff is helpful and friendly and the facility is clean and bright. Definitely recommend!

Convenient to book online, however, I did not get the service person I selected on any of the 3 times that I tried to choose someone. When I spoke up today, I was told they"rotate". If I book with a particular person, and it is reflected in my confirmation, I expect that choice to be honored. Secondly, the polish I chose was running low and was taken and diluted...which made the color lighter, even with 2 coats. The salon is clean and pleasant. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

I was so pleased with my service today. I’ve been getting my nails done at many different nail salons since May and every single one did not meet my standards, it was so frustrating because you pay so much for a manicure, but after today I am so relieved that I finally found a place that I can trust, that does a good job, is professional and is sanitary. Also at many nail salons they didn’t even put lotion on my hands and left my hands dusty!! But here they put a hot towel on my hands and did a paraffin wax dip on me and it was phenomenal, left my hands feeling so soft. Thank you so much for the amazing service, now I can finally enjoy getting my nails done again. They earned the 5 stars.
