Lure Salon

The staff here is very sweet, and my stylist had a warm, fun personality. Unfortunately, the haircut was a different story. I showed clear photos and explained exactly what I wanted, but the result was uneven, too tight, and nothing like what I asked for. It felt like she cut what she preferred—or tried to fix a mistake by cutting more. I left looking worse than when I arrived and now need to get it corrected elsewhere. For pixies or short cuts, I wouldn’t recommend this salon. They’re lovely people, but short hair requires precision, and that just wasn’t there.

When I moved to the area, I won a gift certificate for Lure but forgot the name and location, in spite of my attempts to find the salon again. I was able to find it with the help of a local woman. I immediately scheduled an appointment with Jenn Lees and I am thrilled to have a seasoned and friendly stylist. I am 67 years old and tried several salons in the Northern Liberties/Fishtown area, and paid hundreds of dollars to have my salt and pepper, short hair. I had a picture of the color and cut, and there was always uncertainty on their part. I met Jenn for a couple of minutes, discussed the cut and color with her and I walked out with exactly what I had requested numerous times for a fraction of the cost. I’ll be a loyal patron from now on! Thank you Jenn!

Been going here since they opened. Jenny is AMAZING! My color and cuts are ALWAYS on point. I have scalp psoriasis and Jenny ALWAYS does what she can to prevent pain when dying my hair. She puts a protectant on my scalp around my hairline and checks in with me throughout the wait, asking if I'm ok. I'm ALWAYS getting compliments on my hair wherever I go. The staff is super-friendly. Jen, the owner is so sweet and funny. I've recommended this place to many people and they've always been satisfied.

Love, love, love!! I finally “found” this salon after many unsatisfying visits elsewhere. Jenn is amazing colorist and stylist. Reasonably priced and affordable. She will make sure you are happy with the outcome and will go above and beyond if a “tweak” is needed. The girls are wonderful and friendly. I’ve been here a few times and keep coming back!!

I NEVER leave reviews, but this experience was so good that I had to let people know. I got my hair colored and cut by Jamie who was amazing from start to finish. She gave me realistic goals for my hair color and pulled off way more than I anticipated. She is phenomenal and I would recommend her to anyone!
