Lovely Nails

Incredible!!! I live in Buffalo, NY and have been ONLY going to my salon for over three years because so many nail salons are harsh on my nails. I have been out of town for three weeks and I was long overdue and had two nails that needed repair. As nervous as I was, I decided to try LOVELY NAILS while I was here visiting the Detroit area because of their high rating and WOW was I ever impressed. They definitely deserve this 5 star rating. Kevin did my dip powder set and he was so gentle and paid close attention to detail. Very hygienic as well! Hau did my friends acrylic set and she also has very thin nails and was nervous because she said it always hurts when they use the grinder. But not here at LOVELY NAILS!!!! *****APPOINTMENTS ONLY SALON, CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT***** Family owned business. I have been going to Lisa for 16 years. She's talented & super sweet. They ONLY take appointments so call first. I highly recommend their spa pedicure with sugar scrub & menthol mask. It's amazing, you'll be hooked too.

They do not accept walk ins. I had made an appointment and was greeted but no one asked my name or anything I waited around the front for a few minutes (less than 5) when a gentleman finally asked if I had an appointment. He sat me down and started working on me for my fill, and halfway through working on me he switched me to another person. I was fine with it, but not the greatest first impression or service but no big deal. The other gentleman who worked on me, took his time, and we didn’t talk much, but I felt like my overall experience was just average. I paid about $45 plus $10 tip for these and I feel just meh about it. The overall atmosphere of the place looks clean but no one else talked at all when I was there and it didn’t seem like any of the employees were super thrilled to b

They get you in and out and reasonably priced. My acrylic fill-in with gel polish was $35. They do not take walk-ins. Although, both times I went, I got same day appointments.

I never thought I’d be leaving a bad review but after this last visit I am extremely upset. The gentleman who sits at table one has done my nails a few times now and not once have I left happy. ONLY when Henry has done my nails do I leave that salon feeling great. The gentleman who sits at table one drills your nails to the point of burns. He constantly goes over the same spot to the point of pain and when you say something he keeps doing it. NOT ONCE have I felt that way with the other techs. I have never left with polish in the cuticles and I do when he does nails. The acrylic is also globbed on to where it is so thick and weird looking. The cherry on top is leaving the salon with painful rashes on 2 fingers likely from the excessive drilling. I liked this place, it’s sad to say I won’
