Just got back from an excellent first massage with Missy and it won’t be my last. Aside from an overall great massage there was so much I appreciated. Start with that she doesn’t make you choose either/or between Swedish and Deep Tissue – she combines techniques which is perfect for me. I don’t want just a gentle back rub that just puts me to sleep, but I also don’t want to feel like I’m tensed up on the verge of pain throughout a massage. I want to be relaxed but trust that some knots will get worked out, too. Which is exactly what I got. Missy checked in on the pressure early on and then – miraculously – adjusted perfectly without overcorrecting or forgetting my input as I’ve had happen at other places. I have been a client of massage therapy for many years. I have had amazing experiences and some, not so much. I had found a therapist that was incredible and was so bummed when they left the field. Lotus was an awesome find. The session was one of the best I have been fortunate to have. Clean, relaxing atmosphere with professional treatment. I have found my new home for this part of my wellness treatment. The custom attention to what is actually going on with your body rather than a "cookie cutter approach" and the knowledge to treat it is what makes this a physical therapy session and not just a back rub. Nothing against back rubs but when you need more substantial treatment to correct issues with the muscles then what you need is a therapist. I have already booked my next session

Just finished my first massage with Missy and I am feeling renewed. I gave her a lot of work to do in just 60 minutes (my shoulders are basically glued to my ears lol) and I feel like she addressed everything I mentioned extremely well in that timeframe. Her attention to detail makes all the difference—I loved the addition of hot towels as well. I will definitely be back for a 90 min session soon!
