I had a bit of a rocky start here when I came in on Saturday for a balayage. Unfortunately, the stylist who did my hair initially didn’t get it right – I ended up with chunky blonde streaks that gave major Y2K chunky highlight vibes, which wasn’t what I was going for at all. However, when I called to let them know what happened, they were great about getting me back in to fix it. Nikki completely saved the day! She did an amazing job covering up the previous work and giving me exactly what I originally wanted. She went above and beyond to blend everything out beautifully and hid all those uneven chunks of blonde. I don’t write reviews often, but Jen genuinely deserves every star and then some. What sets her apart starts before she even picks up a tool — she listens. Not just nods-and-smiles listens, but actually hears what you want and translates it into something even better than you pictured. Her color work is next-level. I’ve been to plenty of stylists over the years, and nobody handles color the way she does — the depth, the dimension. It’s a craft, and she’s mastered it. And the styling is perfection. I walk out looking like I have somewhere important to be. Every single time. I never have to go home and fix anything, which — if you’ve had enough ‘just needs a little tweak’ salon experiences — you know is everything. She’s simply the best I’ve ever had.

I am the definition of an impulse appointment maker—one random idea pops into my head and suddenly I’m booking a hair appointment like it’s a medical emergency. Thankfully, Zoey at Lords & Ladies Douglassville is basically a hair magician who can handle my chaos with grace. She took my “I think I want highlights, with money pieces? A short hair cut, maybe? Let’s just see what happens” energy and turned it into one of the best cut and color I’ve had in ages. The highlights are gorgeous, the cut is perfect, and I walked out feeling like a whole new human. Not to mention my husband was drooling! Great service. Randy did an awesome job with my highlights and haircut. I got so many compliments on it. A week later went back to take my son for a haircut and Randy did an amazing job. My son was so pleased. Definitely going to be going back.

I have had two appointments with Madelyn at L&L. She’s fantastic at acrylic refills and full sets. Additionally Madelyn wants you leaving with exactly what you want to have done and makes sure you’re happy when you leave. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in her work and I’m so thankful to have found her!
