Right after Christmas, I traveled from South Carolina to Maryland to visit family, and I never expected to leave with the haircut of my dreams. I found Rick through a TikTok posted by one of my favorite influencers and decided to call on my last day in town to see if they could fit me in. Rick went above and beyond — he stayed at the salon for two hours waiting for me to drive over from Annapolis. From the moment I arrived, the environment was incredibly relaxing, and every staff member was so kind and welcoming. Rick was more than happy to give me the exact 70s/80s-inspired haircut I wanted, and the result completely blew me (and my stepmom and dad) away. I seriously cannot recommend Looks Salon and Spa enough!

I’ve been trying to do ashy brown (closest to my natural color) for almost two years now, and Ricky was the only one to be able to do it right and give me what I’ve been asking for and I LOOOVE it!!! I’ve been going to see Shelly Snook for haircuts a while now and never had an issue. I wanted to try something different with my hair, so I asked if she could do the Fox Hair style, and agreed upon the attached reference. She did not quote me an amount before beginning the treatment. During the treatment she ended up getting high volume bleach on my scalp, and when I told her that it burned she wiped my scalp with a paper towel. She continued to finish the bleach treatment and moved on to the color treatment. The red is actually a beautiful shade and I’m happy with how that turned out but the black ends were very unevenly applied and are far bigger than the agreed reference photo. I’ve been going to Ashlea for my curly cuts for a few years now and have sent a few friends to her as well. I always look forward to it being such a relaxing, nice experience. And my curls look so fresh and bouncy when I leave! On the morning of my last appointment, I found myself without childcare for my 1.5 year old unexpectedly and called the salon unsure of what to do. Ashlea and the manager Amy could not have been nicer, offering to watch my daughter during my haircut so that I would not have to cancel my appointment. I cannot tell you what a gift this was. This is the first time I’ve ever left a hair salon feeling happy after a haircut. Other salons never asked me questions and just did whatever they wanted with my hair, to the point where they even burned my scalp while blow-drying it. But my stylist, Genesys, has honestly been the best stylist I’ve had in a long time. First, I called the salon to make an appointment and they asked me a lot of questions about my hair, which I really liked (that had seriously never happened to me before). When I arrived, Genesys explained different things about hair and what types of cuts would look best on me. I left feeling so happy with the change she gave me.
