Locks of Nu Natural Hair Spa

For me, working on my hair has always been therapeutic. The stylists at Locks of Nu have given me the therapy I needed for my locs. A special shout-out to Ayaba for her helping hands. Came in for a cut and color. I came in at 11am did not leave until 3:30. It wasn't until I went to the barber the next day as told to shape up my hairline in the back did I realize how bad my hair was. My barber had to cut down my hair so much because it was so uneven in so many places. So in the end $240 down the drain.

This place is great! It a has zen vibe which I like. Plus, my locs aways come out fresh which make me feel good!

When you move, it is easily understood that you will miss your family and friends, but no one talks about missing your hairstylist. After looking for almost a decade for someone local to do my hair and four failed salon visits, I am so happy to report I have found my new home. I didn't just come in to get my hair done, I also had some problem areas that needed some extra care as well. The steam treatment was my favorite part of my visit; my dry strands needed the extra attention. During the visit, Alicia also inquired about my home hair care practices, and offered recommendations to make my time between salon visits more productive. I walked away with freshly trimmed hair, new care options, and trust in someone new to do my hair.

What can I say....even in this COVID responsible world Locs of Nu is still on point! This had been my regular spot for several years. However I had not been there since moving to Queens. I was hopeful than I’d find a Natural Hair care salon close to home since I prefer early Saturday appointment. Just didn’t happen...When a friend from Bklyn reach out for a Bklyn recommendation and a place that had established a COVID protocol I highly recommended LOCS of Nu having received a great update with their protocol weeks ago. Started thinking geez...Just go back yourself!! The owner Ebony and her team have done an incredibly job without compromising the tranquility of the space.
