I was a first time customer for stylist LA. I was satisfied with the cut. However, the quality of customer service- yelling, gas lighting, manipulation, inability to hold a conversation in a mature professional manner, and involving others in the conversation to support her were just indicative of the poor behavior among some female African American hair stylists that factored into the reasons I initially stopped visiting salons. But for that- I definitely would return. Just not a good match for me. Customer service is everything to me. I just cant support that type of behavior and service. I look forward to finding a stylist with a pleasant personality and a peaceful spirit and energy. Best

I forget the lady’s name but she destroyed my dreads. Older woman. I went in for a retwist and two strand dreads. First my parts were horrible and not uniform at all. Second she did not add rubber bands to my ends to keep my two strands together. Third, my dreads are now on life support. I had maybe one or two that were thin. Now half of my head is hanging on for dear life!!! Lastly she charged me 150 dollars(more than anyone else has In this area) for a non uniform, unfinished work. I’ll never visit again and overpay for this kind of work.

i have previously been to la's hair studio and haven't had a problem. i liked the services i recieved and was looking to possibly become a regular. but the last time i went was the final time i will ever go there and here's why: 1. i was expecting to get a simple trim of my ends. one of the other beauticians butchered my hair. from the front you could tell that one side was longer than the other and she thought that that was simply ok for a client to walk out with uneven hair. i was devistated to know that she took the liberty of cutting my hair the way she wanted instead of communicating to me the situation and if i wanted her to continue. 2. when i went back to la to explain that i was unhappy that my hair was uneven and i wanted my money back her response was "your ends where horrib

This is the only hair shop I go to. They are very thorough with doing your hair just the way you want it. Jamille and La are the best! Very nice personalities and overall amazing people. Definitely recommend going here
