Lara’s hair salon

I have gone to Mais twice now, and I must say I have never been this satisfied with a hairstylist! She is so kind, patient, and most of all very good at her job. She obviously knows what she’s doing! At this point, I honestly trust her to cut my hair however she thinks looks good. I asked her for a trim and layers as well and she did them beautifully, I am so happy with her work. Will always be going to her now!

I went in for my 5-year-old’s haircut and made it clear it was picture day the next day. The cut was rushed, uneven, and looked choppy with bald spots. I asked for corrections, which took longer than the original cut, but it still wasn’t right. Even obvious pieces I pointed out were dismissed as “just how the hair sits.” My son had to sit through multiple attempts and was uncomfortable, and in the end his hair looked worse than when we walked in. The owner didn’t charge us, which I appreciated, but no parent wants their child’s school pictures ruined over a bad haircut. Very disappointing.

Lara is absolutely amazing! She’s not only talented and professional but also so kind and welcoming. Every time I visit, she listens carefully to what I want and always makes my hair look even better than I imagined. The salon is clean, cozy, and has such a friendly atmosphere. I always leave feeling refreshed and beautiful. Highly recommended — Lara is the best! 💇‍♀️✨

I went there a couple weeks ago and thought I was being scheduled with Lara, who I had been referred to. I had never met her so I didn’t know until mid way thru, when I saw the license of another person on the wall near the station I was at. She never introduced herself to me, let alone said more than a few words to find out what I wanted done. It was awkward. I tried to talk to her but she wasn’t trying to make conversation. I got a root touch up, a trim and a blowout. Root touch up was fine, trim was sub par, she didn’t go thru my layers, just cut the ends off the length, left my face framing/bangs a mess (awkward and uneven) and the blowout I was charged $30 extra for was pretty awful.
