Lalaicha African Hair Braiding

I had trouble writing a second review so I deleted my first one. I recently went back to the shop and got 8 stitch cornrow braids. The price that I paid was $220 and that price includes the hair. I felt like I was being overcharged and I mentioned this to the owner of the shop. They explained to me that the hair is included and that this style goes for a higher price normally. I opted to have all of my edges inside of the braids which caused her to braid extremely tight and it is bulging at the scalp. I wanted to give a lower rating because I felt like I was being overcharged. But they explained to me why it cost this much and I understand. The style gave me lots of compliments however. This was my first time being serviced here. they are professional, clean, very responsive, and provided hair which saved me a stop. Got stitch braids bun which is a bit pricey compared to other places for this style. However she took her time, polite, engaged, and ensured I was happy with outcome. I will return.

I'm glad I'm fully vaccinated! When I got there, they were ready to start my hair (one of the reasons they got 2 stars). They also was wearing a mask. But when I woke up after falling asleep in the chair, I woke up to the mother and daughter talking over me without masks. In times today, especially in NY, I need us all to be respectful to each other and wear a mask. Next, the hairstyle that I sent them I wanted versus what they gave me were not the same! Was the hairstyle I got worth the money, yes (the other reason why I gave them 2 stars). But it made me be in the chair longer than I wanted with more hair than I wanted to maintain. AND MY SCALP HURT! But that's a given with new braids. At the end of the day, I will not visit this shop again. The 1st photo is the style I requested. T

My first time getting my hair braided, got the boho braids with blue in the front. The mother and daughter did an amazing job. Attention to details, and it took approximately 5 hours to get practically butt length hair done. Highly recommended. Worth the $$$.

I’ve been multiple times and they do an amazing job every time but I feel like the prices are a bit too high I wanted box braid just half since I have an under cut and the wanted me to pay 180 and I didn’t agree with that because i would be using less hair and it’s less time. More than half my back is gone. But the braids do come out amazing. They done mines and my daughters hair before and they are very sweet.
