This place is awful. Crowded, cluttered and dirty, there were two braiders doing hair, a younger lady and an older lady. I should have followed my first mind to leave, but I really needed my hair braided for an upcoming trip. The older lady, Lala, was braising and the younger 1 was finishing, so I was up next and went to her chair. I showed her the style I wanted and tried to explain I wanted 3 rows of braids to be blue, the rest, 1b. I emphasized my parts needed to be really clean. I waited 2.5 hours and after she'd started, I had to leave, but I wanted my hair finished, so I sent half the money to Lala. I got home, looked at the back of my hair and called the salon. I tried explaining that this hair do was NOT what I asked for, so, I took the braids down, rewashed and vlow dried my hair
The ladies are nice, but the price is ridiculous. I received two feed-in braids and a wash and I was charged $140! And my part was crooked and my edges started turning white the same day. If this wasn’t an emergency then I wouldn’t have paid or would’ve demanded a lower rate. I asked her for 6 braids initially and she told me $140….so how is two braids the same price?
November 15th - Taking out my hair now and it looks like death. IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! ———————— November 7th I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but I’ve never had someone handle my hair so fast and rushed before. I’m natural so the detangling process felt so much like she didn’t care if my hair was flying everywhere… I had to tell her to slow down multiple times. That being said, after some instruction, the hair design came out beautifully. Great price. Just be very clear about how they can treat your hair. They’re really nice people. Oh and she did try to put a dirty towel on me and I immediately threw it off so she gave me a plastic cape. The bathroom didn’t have toilet paper. I wish that she didn’t wash my hair, with my face towards the sink bec
I went to LaLa African hair braiding thinking I found a professional to put twist with weave over my loc’s. Instead I got an African lady that thought it was okay to bite my hair with her teeth. After she finished my hair she said that I have to twist it daily so my hair doesn’t come out. She literally just wrapped my hair around my loc nnnd then at the end she twisted. With her being older nnnd doing this for a living in another country she’d take more pride in her work. She could’ve at least used two locs to make my twist instead of wrapping the weave around one loc nnnd then at the end of my hair she spilt the weave to make a twist. My hair looked cute right after she did it but my hair untwisted the same day. I don’t mine spending 250 dollars on a good quality hair stylist. This is rid
