From the moment I walked in I was greeted with big smiles and felt very comforted. The salon is beautiful! Tima and her assistant, Sanassa, were very sweet and attentive. Wine and all! I was so impressed by how fast and effortlessly Tima did my hair. Her hands are fast and MAGICAL. My hair looks natural and the braids lay so flat (thank you Sanassa). You can't tell I have extensions. I drove an hour and a half away from Ct and the drive was worth it! After so many traumatic prior installs I finally found someone professional who knows what they are doing! Highly recommended. I definitely be coming back!

I am in complete awe of the Laidbytima salon experience. For starters, you’re kindly greeted the moment you walk in - BY EVERYONE. You immediately feel welcomed by the smiles on the staff’s faces. The energy feels organic rather than forced. You’re asked if you’d like tea, coffee, or champagne along with snack options at no additional cost. When it’s time to get in the chair, the staff takes their time to hear your requests and address any concerns you have. You’re asked if you’re tender headed prior to braiding so that they make sure to work on your scalp with proper care. The braids are the foundation to a perfect sew in and let me tell you - the braids are NOT tight but certainly hold together very well. First time getting a sew in where a headache wasn’t involved in the days to follow

Had a great experience at this salon. First of all it’s in a great neighborhood, just walking there from the train was so calming. I booked a leave out sew in with Sanassa and she did a great job. Checked in at every phase in the hair experience, got the style as I’d wanted and also checked if I was comfortable. It’s an over 1 hour trip for me but was well worth it. The ambiance in the salon is also amazing, well maintained and cleaned and for a weekend it wasn’t packed. I’d definitely recommend booking with their trainees as I felt that I got a great experience for someone who’s newer to hairstyling as the website presented, I had full confidence in her that she’d do a great job and she did. Pricing can’t be beat either.

My experience at the salon was amazing. The staff were nice and fast. My hairstylist, Tima, gave me some tips on keeping my hair healthy and did my hair wonderfully. I got the silk press with the protein treatment, 5 star experience! Definitely coming back!

What can I say-when I walked in, the place was beautiful and clean. I was so excited for my NATURAL silk press. I booked with Liz. She was warm, welcoming and walked me through the steps of my treatment. During the hydration portion, Liz informed me that she was applying a keratin based anti-frizz cream. I told Liz that I used to receive keratin treatments 8 years ago and stopped because it ruined my curls. She ensured that it would not change my texture, only reduce frizz but it did just that. Since going there in June my curls have lost their texture and I’m infuriated. I am aware of my tight coiled texture and love it, as I’ve mastered it over the years. What I wanted was a natural silk press with a hydration treatment as advertised, as I do NOT straighten my hair regularly at all. My
