L.A Nails & Spa Waterloo

I visited this nail shop in Waterloo, Iowa on Saturday, January 31st to get my nails and toes done. I’m only now writing this review because the experience left me feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable, and I needed time to process it. I have a medical condition affecting my feet and I’m very self-conscious about it. It took a lot for me to even come in and get a pedicure. Unfortunately, the experience made me feel worse. The nail technician working on my feet appeared unsure of what he was doing and called over two other technicians to look at my feet. While they spoke to each other and laughed, it made me extremely uncomfortable and ashamed. At that point, I just wanted the service to be over. In addition, the quality of the work was not good. I’ve been coming to la nails for 10 years! I started with Johnny, moved to Annie, and now I book with ALEX every time!! He does amazing at design and shape!!! He’s so sweet and considerate when doing my nails and my comfort. ALEX is a fun and personable nail tech that cares a lot. If the hair is shaking, they care!!! Highly recommend and have so much love for this place!! Happy salon days ladies and gents!! 💕

My experience at LA Nails was everything a manicure should be and more! Everyone was friendly and helpful, I was assisted immediately when I walked in, and my tech, Alex, was amazing! I would definitely recommend him, but everyone else was good natured and friendly so I don't really think you can go wrong here. I had a great experience and walked out with a genuine smile! I will definitely be back!

I've had pedicures all over Cedar Valley and this place was by far the worst. Took my 9 year old daughter out for pedicures on labor day(2days ago) and after stopping at several others that were closed, we decided to try this one. Her pedicure was about 20 min long, they upgraded her to gel without asking and charged $38. Mine was over an hour and had to ask to get my toe nails shaped $52. Gel was not done correctly and is already chipping 2 days in and looks like I had done 2 weeks ago due to how far away from the cuticle the polish was applied. Save yourself the hastle and go somewhere, ANYWHERE else.

Had an appointment to get our nails done at noon. Arrived at the shop around 11:45, we were told to take a seat and look through the books. As time went by, 3 to 4 individuals walk through the doors and were seated before us. At 12:30 we were still sitting and not being attended to so we got up to leave. As we were leaving the store 2 employees follow us out to my car. I was sitting in my car and one of the employees actually opened my door and proceeded to try talking me into coming back inside. I decided since we were there we might as well stay and get our nails done. After a week one of the nails came off taking my entire real fingernail along with it. A few other nails are loose but I'm afraid to try to pick them off the rest of the way for fear my other nails will come off too. Not s
