L.A. Nails

Very nice staff at first. Very pushy on up selling. Did a gel mani and pedi. The man doing my service kept making comments about me having too much skin around my nails.... very unnecessary and weird comments. He tore the cuticle on my big toe and tried to say it was ingrown. It was not. He was awful at doing my nails, missed areas on my nails, left polish on my skin and made lumps on my nails. When washing my hands I saw how dirty the place is.

Terrible experience. I ended up with fungus on three of my toes. Now I have to go to a podiatrist. The last time I went, the gel tore off the top of my toe nail so they built it up with acrylic which looked horrible. Then the guy used a glittery topcoat, which I did not want. A few weeks later, I realized something was wrong with my big toe. Now three of my toes are infected. There was no evidence of any disinfectant used. The tubs were not lined with plastic which I've seen in other salons. I can't even paint my toes or wear flip flops now. Additionally, the price was not consistent. I went there 2-3 times and the price was never the same. Also, they did not message my feet. I do not recommend this place at all. I don’t know how they stay in business.

This is my first, and last time coming to LA Nails. Truly one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a nail salon. The gentleman doing my toes was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and just all around not great. I showed a photo of how I’d like my toes to look (color wise) and it is absolutely not what I asked for whatsoever. I was never asked during the process how they looked, how the color was, nothing. The whole process was incredibly rushed and when I brought up the color, I was met with annoyance at the idea of having to re do them. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Went there 2 years ago for my prom nails. Y’all know what, nothing looked alike the picture that I showed them. I showed them the picture before started, they told they can do it. So I trusted them. After result, boom, nothing is related to the model picture, NOTHING. I couldn’t find the original model pic that I showed them in 2 years ago, because it’s been 2 years, but the second model picture is close enough to the original model. Anyone get what I mean why I mentioned nothing looked alike? The quality, version, shape, and the feels. The nail tip should be thin and narrow in, not thick and flat out. The reason why I commented this 2 years later because at that time I don’t want to feel bad to say things out, but now the more I think about it, the angrier I get.

I came in with an appointment at 5pm (one hour before they close), and the man doing my nails was extremely impatient. My nails are EXTREMELY uneven and different lengths, the polish has already come off, and my thumb was ruined after five minutes after leaving. Granted, they haven't fallen off after five days, but I am VERY unhappy with my nails, and will be going to have them fixed at Pretty Nails.
