I came in after seeing a Groupon deal and wanted to try this place out, but I’m honestly glad I didn’t buy the coupon ahead of time. From the moment I asked about it, they started trying to upsell me. They told me I had “too much hair” and that it would cost $30 more than what the Groupon showed. When I said I couldn’t afford the extra charge, the stylist looked at me and said, “It’s only $30!” — like it was no big deal. But it was a big deal for me. That comment made me feel so small and embarrassed. I ended up leaving and crying. As a mom, going to the salon is supposed to be a rare moment to relax, unwind, and feel taken care of — not shamed for your budget. I can’t believe it took me 15 years to write a review!! Once you find a person you love, you hold on to them. Emsy is truly an artist when it comes to hair. He does a fantastic job with color, haircuts, and his updos are out of this world. I constantly get compliments on my hair and it’s all thanks to him! He recently remodeled his space and it’s so beautiful! City look and feel in the burbs!

I came here twice when my regular colorist was book up and I needed my hair toned. The first time I came Nadia toned my hair and it looked wonderful. The second time I called asking for a “root touch up and toner”. The owner was confident he could do my hair. I knew what toner was used before, the only thing I didn’t know was the root color. Before coming here I spent over a year changing my hair from black box dye to a nice rich brown with baylage highlights. This cost me hundreds of dollars and a long time to accomplish. Well the owner totally ruined all of the work that was done to my hair. I think he forgot he was supposed to be doing toner on my highlights and he instead pulled the color through my hair. First time I visited this place but man’ I REALLY fell in L❤️VE in terms of the Owner MC, who works and shows his gifts to make you beautiful & STUNNING‼️and his right hand Natalie. The ambiance of the place, and the staff who were so helpful. I’ll bring my circle to this place.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience during my very first visit to La Mode. Emsy is a true professional with an incredible eye for both color and hairstyles. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease—his friendly attitude and expertise immediately put me at comfort.
