La Buena Vida Spanish Restaurant

Parking lot was a little cramped, but that's understandable due to the snow. I had a feeling I had been here before, but it was a different restaurant. Found out later that it was formerly Watami. I recognized the window view from the inside. Arrived a few minutes before our reservation, and we were seated right away at a cozy corner. The place had several tables occupied, and it looks like we got there at the right time. Drink and appetizer orders were taken, and we had a little time to look through the menu. A bottle of wine and a couple of cocktails came out and entree orders were taken promptly. I had looked it up ahead of time, and had my sights set on the Paella Valencia. Everything was fantastic, starting with the greeting from the Hostess we got when we walked in the door. Had to wait 15 minutes for a table so we decided to graba drink from the Bar. John made a perfect old fashion for my better half and a very good vodka martini for myself. We started with the calamari and stuff plantains for appetizers while waiting for our table, the calamari was spot on, Best we had in a long time. The stuffed plantain was very good. I had lamb chops which were seasoned and in my opinion perfect !! My lovely date had salmon with mashed potatoes and vegetables , she loved it. We finished up with flan and some fried cheesecake. We will definitely be back !! Need more restaurants like La buena Vida !!

I should start by saying I don’t write reviews. I have been to La Buena Vida a few times to grab drinks and appetizers with friends. It’s always been a nice experience. My husband and I decided to pop in and have dinner. I have to say… I think the chef sprinkles magic of some kind into his dishes! Everything we had was special. Unique flavors blends, great portions and beautifully presented fresh food. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit.

I just want to thank you to Julissa and the chef Nuñez! They was amazing. I don't have words to described the food and the attention this day thank you to make my Birthday amazing with good food and attention !

So glad the neighborhood finally got a nice restaurant! Food was really good, steak bigger than expected and cooked to perfection…and grilled octopus was by far the best thing we tried. Drinks were also very good! Service was very friendly and had a family vibe. Wish the ambience was a little better, but all in all a really nice spot. Will def go back!
