La Belle African Hair Braiding

Beware of this lady! I sent her a picture of how my hair looked like. She refused to look at it until I reminded her the next day. She told me $80 and then changed it to $120 when I got there. She then started complaining about how she wanted to go home and being snippy the whole 3 hours 30 minutes of my experience. The icing on the cake was when she took it upon herself to play a video on loop on how Nigerians are not good people (I am Nigerian) and she played it 40 minutes straight trying to get a reaction out of me. God bless her and please remove the hate from her heart.

Melissa is an awesome stylist. This was my second time getting braids and I'm in love with my look. She was quick, professional, attentive, and so nice dealing with all my questions. Thanks to her, I understand what great quality braiding looks like. I'll definitely be a regular customer! ❤️❤️

Melissa is an excellent hair-braider. She educated me on what hair to purchase, discussed and recommended hair styles and just all around very professional. She communicated with me during my scheduling of the service between her clients. Her salon is within a building of other elite beauty professionals. Very upscale, easy parking and relaxing. I’ve found my Go-To hair braider. Many of her clients travel more than an hour and I can see why.

I called LA Belle African Hair Braiding this morning to see if she has availability for tomorrow morning to take out my braids and shampoo my hair. Right off the bat, she had a really nasty attitude. This is the first time ever calling this salon so I've never dealt with her before. She said "I don't have availability tomorrow to take off your braid, do you think any salon would do that for you on a Saturday morning"? I was totally baffled by the last of customer service and the arrogance of her tone. She continued to said that "taking out braids is something she does when she is slow and that even if she was not busy, she wouldn't not take me tomorrow morning". La Belle, if you're reading this review, I just want you to know that a salon not far from you took me and I have an appointment

Excellent service. Melissa is my go-to hair stylist for African braiding in Winchester. She is extremely professional, and does very neat work (does not braid too tight). Her work was exactly what I asked for and showed in a picture. Her salon is clean and very quaint; beautifully decorated with good vibes. We always have great conversations and she is truly a genuine person and cares about her customers experiences and service. I don’t let just anyone touch my hair… Melissa’s vibes and services are on point.
