KY African Hair Braiding

I've been to Kys 3 times, they always do a good job! ! get small boho knotless, waist length. I provide the synthetic boho hair. It does take a long time for me to get my braided but it's always worth it. Also, i drive up from Richmond, Va to Kys because the quality of work is good and the pricing is better than getting small boho knotless in RVA.

Since I have been back from TX ( after a year ) I been looking for a braider. I was going to a braider in Baltimore for almost 20 yrs but it seems they were not giving the quality of braids like they use to. I found KY African Hair Braiding on TikTok and decided to give them a try. I had a flight to Japan the next day so this had to work! 1/29/2026 My request was for small knotless box braids butt length. My plan was to arrive early but because there was bad weather the previous days roads were not good so I arrived a little late and my braider did as well but it was understandable. Everyone was nice. I recently got small boho knotless and I am in love with my hair. I scheduled an appointment they were on time with starting and the woman in the shop were very welcoming/nice. I believe my braider name was Angel. I will definitely be back.

Ohh my God, I didn't know this shop was 5 mn from my house, I use to go another salon in Bowie. They was booked and I checked on Google and decided to go to this one . The service was perfect and my boho twist come out so neat and the do take credit and debit card as well, this will be my new salon.

I came in for some knotless braids, there were two braiders in the shop. I was told my hair wasn’t long enough for knotless. Okay that’s fine what other braid options do I have ? The older woman told me my hair wasn’t long enough for ANY type of braid style and refused me service even though the younger woman said it was. My curl pattern is super tight so if she had taken the time to stretch my hair out she would’ve seen she was mistaken. I left and went to ULTIMATE BRAIDING SALON located at 8315 old branch avenue Clinton Md and those ladies got me right! Walked out 8 hrs later with butt length knotless braids and they’re BEAUTIFUL. I will never recommend KY African Braiding …spend your money elsewhere.
