KP African Hair Braiding

I don't know if there are two locations but I went to the new location on Mason. The original location was on Clay Rd. I've gone there before as well. Anyway, the negative is my 11 o'clock appt was pushed to 1pm. Not a good start but I waited. Once I was seated it went fast. Two braiders..ok. The thing about different braiders is technique. The style is med boho. The technique for braiding in the boho hair varies. I don't love my hair but I like it and it'll do for now. I suggest finding out who your braider is and have pictures of expectations. My mistake. The plus is I was done by 330.

Came across this place and wow am I happy I did I brought in my granddaughter and she hooked it up!!!! My wife will definitely be switching to this location very clean and comfortable chairs. KP has a very light hand and my baby girl didn’t cry at all the entire time!!!! If your looking for a great spot to get your next braiding done I assure you this is the place!

My review is solely based on the poor customer service I received. I reached out to inquire about hair braiding services and, after being given the prices, I mentioned that I was waiting to see if my usual braider was available and was also considering a backup since their prices were slightly better. The response I received was, “Let her do it.” As someone who has both worked in customer service and grown up with a parent who owned a business, I understand what good service should look like from both the consumer and company perspective. I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at this salon. Before my appointment, I contacted Aisha with a video of the exact hairstyle length and size I wanted. She provided a quote and clearly stated that the hair would be included. However, when I arrived, she told me she did not have the hair after all and that I would need to purchase it myself. On top of that, the final result looked nothing like the style I requested. After paying extra and spending hours in the chair.I left unhappy with both the service and the quality of the work. When I called the store with my dissatisfaction Aisha told me that I need to allow time for the hairstyle to roughen up to see a more natural look. This experience was frustrating and unprofessional, and would not recommend

KP is amazing. She makes you feel welcome every time you get your hair done. She is very professional and down to earth. Also very relatable. I love getting my hair done by her the outcome is amazing every time. The hair style i got today was a new set of braids in the top with the same sew in, I’m the back’ the braids are new but the sew in I have had for about 3-4 weeks now. Amazing work! Thanks KP
