I’m going away in a few days and I needed a nice quick style. I asked around but the pricing I was getting was ridiculous. I asked a close friend and she recommended me to come here. I was skeptical at first but I trust my friend. I had a 10am appointment. We started at 10:30 I was finished by 11:30. The owner was very nice and friendly. She made sure the style I wanted was exactly what I got. I will definitely keep going back to her whenever I need my hair braided. I’m grateful I don’t have to travel all the way to Harlem anymore. Go to get a sew in with a leave out. Price $100, not bad. The lady didn’t speak English but more or less we were able to communicate through google translate and through another helpful customer at the salon to explain regular sew in with a leave out. She was kinda trying and did what she could. Only request was to not braid my hair where it would break off but tight enough where it does hurt. 3-4 days later my braids are undoing underneath the sew in. I go in 2 days later to ask if they can fix it, however they weren’t willing because “ I said not too tight”. Which I told the lady that braided my hair I’ve gotten so many so ins and last me about 3-4 weeks with it not being excruciating tight. Then tells me to call her tomorrow around 3pm because she can’t do nothing that day which was aro

The owners is very nice lady. They do all types of styles there. Prices are reasonable. The only reason they dont have 5 stars is cause you have to bring your own hair. But I believe you'll love your hair when you leave this shop. I've been getting my dreads, box braids, weave and more done there.

Absolutely not recommended especially if you value your natural hair. I usually go to Harlem for braids but decided to check out a few places in the area. I went into the shop for a quote w my daughter who is biracial (white/black). I called the morning off to see if there was availability along w a few other salons. The owner confirmed she was available and seemed decent, so I thought. A. She puts a video from her phone on speaker about how “races shouldn’t mix” and “each race only sticks up for their own”. I should have gotten up right then and there. People just don’t have a video like that waiting on their phone. B. A chunk of my hair from the middle was either cut or pulled out from the braider using the blow dryer. Luckily my hair grows fast but this just wasn’t ideal. C. Very croo

I wish I could give this place ZERO STARS! I stopped by the "salon" the day before to show the owner a style that I wanted, and to get the price. She said she could do it, gave me a price, and gave me an appointment time of 2pm the next day. I got there at 1:30pm and was told to come back at 2pm. No problem, I waited in my car until 2pm. Went back in, and was told to come back again, apparently the person who would be doing my hair was not there. I said, no problem I'll wait... almost an hour went by, nothing. I told them I was leaving and they told me to give them my number and they would call once the braider got there. It is after 5pm and I still did not receive a call. What would've happened if I waited there? Would I still be waiting? Horrible.
