Keltner's Classic Barbershop

While passing through Mt. Vernon, I stopped into Keltner’s Barber Shop. I saw the “appointment only” sign, but politely stepped in to ask if he had time for a walk-in. He said yes and took my info. Just as I was about to sit down, he hit me with: “You’re taking away my bathroom break to get you in. Next time, make an appointment.” Caught off guard, I stayed calm and told him, “That’s okay—I’ll leave so you can have your break.” His smug reply? “Good.” I stopped at the door and said, calmly but directly, “Next time, just tell me you don’t have time.” He doubled down with more attitude, so I called it what it was—cocky. His response? “Are you going to leave or just run your mouth?” I told him, “Because it’s your business, I’m going to leave”—and I did. If this is how Keltner treats someo

Nick has been my barber for 15 years, always very professional and a great atmosphere. Doubt I go anywhere else until he decides to retire. He does myself, and all 3 of my boys hair.

Nick always does a great job, and it’s a great time when we come. He’s done two of our boys’ first haircuts, and he’ll be doing the third. He does an excellent job on first haircuts and babies. He’s the only one we trust with our boys. Great job, every time.

Nick is an amazing barber. So nice to take my boys and all have a haircut and chat in Keltner’s Classic. Family pricing offered, beard trim, straight blade shaves. Kids like to show Nick a picture and he never disappoints them.
