Kee Ju

I've been coming to Kee Ju for a little over a year now. I'm pretty particular about my barber since I want someone who I can talk through different styles with over time (and just have a solid conversation for an hour every month or so), so I was really glad to find Jake. Hair-wise, Jake's an amazing barber and really passionate about his craft. You can have a really open dialogue about your hair knowledge and what you're going for and he'll bring your vision to life. The studio is an extremely well-curated space. You can tell that Jake put both a lot of effort and a lot of himself into it, which makes it a really cool space to be in. I am so glad I found Jake! Alongside the beautiful, tranquil space and lovely conversations, I’ve benefited so much from Jake’s kind, encouraging expertise and guidance. I never really know what to do with my wavy hair and rely heavily on Jake’s artistic vision and incredible attention to detail; he always knows exactly what will work for my hair. I’ve received so many compliments on my cuts and always look forward to the next visit. If you're looking for a stylist you can truly trust, look no further. Highly recommend, 11/10!!

He takes the time to listen to what you want and will guide your haircuts to fit your styling needs. Apart from his unrivaled styling skills, KeeJu is a wonderful space that is so warm, inviting, and welcoming that you instantly feel at home. The studio is a testament to the love and care Jake puts into not only the environment of his workspace but also the attention to detail that he brings to every one of his clients. Jake (the owner, not me, I am a different Jake that can only grow hair instead of cutting it) is great! I haven't got my hair cut anywhere else since coming here. I've been growing my hair longer lately and he helped me navigate the new style. Plus his space is super nice.

For the past 10+ years, I kept my hair short because I never felt like I had open communication with my stylist or the comfort to go on a longer journey to grow it out. Jake changed that. What stands out most is that he’s helped me rebuild an emotional connection to my hair — something I haven’t felt since I was teenager. I see Jake's approach to his work to be similar to an artist's: he's a visual and technical expert who can help you arrive to a vision of your hair you may not have the words for yet. In any event, the studio is a total vibe and the haircutting is excellent. Couldn't recommend this place more.
