Kariema was professional, informative and knowledgeable about hair. She did a consultation and shared invaluable information about my hair. Most importantly when I stopped by her shop I was desperate, due to a cancellation of a previous appointment. Kariema without hesitation worked me into her schedule and did an amazing job retwisting my micro locs. She didn't rush or charge me extra for a last-minute appointment, she just worked vigorously to get the job done and it looked beautiful and professional when she was done! Let’s talk about her shop. I came here about 3 months ago. I had matted hair and just needed a detangle. Kariema said she'd work with me on pricing because she wanted to charge $200. If you've seen her salon, you'd know that's a high price to be at a shop that looks like it's my auntie's house. I was already apprehensive because of how the shop looked but I decided to trust her. I sit in her chair and she starts putting a creme product in my hair. I begin asking her what the product was and she said it was her "special recipe", so the shop was red flag #1, the fact that she was hesitant to tell me what she was putting in MY HAIR was red flag #2.
