Kane's Barber Shop

This was my first haircut in the United States and I am quite pleased with it. The place has no bells and whistles to rave about but I found the lady hairdresser in the first workstation very polite and adequately skilled in her job to give me a haircut without any fancy stuff. The place was neat and well arranged with 4 or 5 more workstations, and sufficient seating in the wait area. I went in without an appointment and had to wait less than 5 minutes on a Saturday forenoon. The best part was the price for the service. I was very pleasantly surprised here after having read reviews about haircut prices in San Jose. Don't let me spoil your fun, go and find for yourself :).

I love this place, been coming here a long time now. But I have to say. The older guy towards the back is awful. His work is rushed and he can careless about cutting your hair and more about his phone. He's but me twice and both times is sloppy with so many little hairs still sticking out. He does not take his time but rather just want to get it done. The ladies are the best in there. They really take their time to make sure your hair is perfect. So it will be my last time using that guy, even if I need to wait a bit.

It was my first time to go to Kane’s. I called to make an appointment at 4:30 pm. I arrived at 4:10 pm. I was seated at 4:32 pm. They have 4 highly efficient and expert barbers (3 men & 1 woman). I was extremely impressed and the lady barber was able to duplicate the haircut that I had at Floyd’s Barbershop in West Lis Angeles. I am so glad to have a neighborhood barbershop that provides high quality service at a reasonable price. ❤️

I occasionally got my hair cut at super cuts and most of the time by my mother. Kane’s was the first time I went to a barber shop and I haven’t been anywhere else since. I trust every barber there and only come to this place. I’m usually a walk in and write my name on the list. I like this place because they understand my style, are straight foward, and open to conversation. The place is also very homey. I come in whenever I feel my hair is too long, and I trust this place so much my confidence is also good.

This place is so disorganized. The ground is stained with dirt and has hair everywhere. They have a cheap system of WHO they cut and WHEN. I’ve called about 6 different times and each time I ask to book an appointment they say just show up. I do as they ask and each time they are PACKED!!! They continue to skip me even though my names on their list to accept appointments. It begs the question, why tell me to come in and let others make appointments. Overall, they do great haircuts. But I am not willing to wait an hour when I tried to make an appointment and then they just ignore me.
