I moved to Richmond from LA, leaving behind a stylist that I loved and trusted. I found Scarlett by asking every person with curly hair that I saw where they got their haircut (and also Reddit). Had my first cut with Scarlett a few weeks ago and it is excellent. We had a lil chat about my hair goals before she started and all my concerns were heard and taken into account. I will 100% be going back to Scarlett for my next cut!

K Baucom Salon is an absolute gem! The stylists are not only incredibly friendly but also truly educational—they take the time to explain the process and help you understand what’s best for your hair. What I really appreciate is that clients are never double-booked. When you're in the chair, you are the top priority, and the experience feels calm, focused, and personalized. Heather is currently helping me grow out my grey, and she has been amazing every step of the way. She explained the process clearly and made me feel confident about the journey. I love that we’re working as a team to achieve the look I want. Highly recommend this salon for anyone looking for expert care and a welcoming atmosphere!

you absolutely must book with Scarlett for color services and all else!! Scarlett is meticulous, patient, and listens & works to meet your needs no matter how small. her work is extremely consistent and she always delivers on exactly what i ask for! K Baucom is a professional and warm salon environment that everyone should feel completely comfortable in. i am never switching stylists!!

I moved to Lakeside in 2020, and have been going to KB for my hair since then. All the stylists are great, but for my fine curly hair, Scarlett is the REAL DEAL. She has literally transformed how I look, but in realistic, manageable ways, and delivers on more modern, alternative cuts. I trust her with my life. My only hesitation leaving a review like this is a fear that she'll get too popular and I won't be able to get an appointment.

I’ve been a client here as long as I’ve lived in Richmond. Scarlett is my stylist, and she’s fantastic: particularly if you’re a curly-haired person seeking someone who understands your hair’s needs. I just had a trim from Lindsay for the first time, and she did an outstanding job. Macie is a rising star. Katie, the owner, is just a lovely person and I always enjoy my chats with her. This is a warm and welcoming place.
