I first came to Sim Birnbaum as I was in recovery from major cervical spine surgery, with intense discomfort/stiffness/cramping in my neck and shoulders that kept me from moving normally. Over a period of several months, through both massage and somatic coaching, I have regained a real sense of ease in my upper body. As a result of the bodywork we did together, I have been able to return to activities such as indoor rowing and gardening. Sim has also been instrumental in helping me recover a sense of creativity and joy in daily activities through his use of laughter as a part of bodywork. Sim brings both a deep, intuitive understanding of the physical body, and a connection to the emotional/spiritual body, that I have not found in other bodywork professionals. Very highly recommended!
