I would leave negative stars if I could. This woman's incompetence caused me to cut off my entire head of hair that I had been growing and caring for myself for 9 years. Pictures will be included for reference in order of the style I wanted, my before and after, my bald head, and my own attempt after my hair grew back. I've done my own hair since 2012. In 2021, I wanted a simple scatter-dye job for my locs. I had 60 locs in total, I wanted about 20 of them bleached, and about 15 of the bleached locs dyed pink with dye that I brought myself. I have never left a negative review, but my experience with this business warrants one. Despite hearing positive things, I encountered a lack of professionalism and accountability. So I call Thursday to book on loc attachments for my birthday photoshoot on Saturday. Once Saturday arrives, I receive a text saying that booking was canceled due to overbooking, which was inconvenient but something I could understand. They apologize and reschedule me for Tuesday. We had communicated about hair preparation beforehand and once more on Sunday. Now it's Tuesday, and I received no confirmation. I was looking for a loctician in Brooklyn ( coming from NappStar) and I found this gem of a salon nearby my house. I was lucky to book a same day appointment . From the shampoo to the style I was very satisfied with the visit. Lael took her time and made me feel comfortable. Would definitely recommended

Jus locs gets the job done. A Sure spot for a clean retwist in an authentic brooklyn setting. The salon offers a true home grown experience. For starters It's set in a beautiful brownstone in the heart of bed stuy. The loctitian greets you with a warm welcome as the smell of her oils embrace you at the door. You can tell she has a happy kid and you can hear pets which made me feel even more comfortable. It's not cold and cliquey as some salons can feel. She has a huge tv with cable for your entertainment and a courtesy water fountain. Most importantly she's patient and listens to your interests/concerns as she inspects your crown she makes soft suggestions explaining not everyones hair journey is the same and thats the beauty of being a loc empress. Amateurs charging professional prices. I felt like I was being practiced on and had to coach the stylist through doing my hair. My roots unraveled within 2 days of my visit and I had to go and see another stylist to repair the damage that was done. My Locs were over conditioned and softened to the point where my roots and ends started unraveling. the environment was also dirty and unsanitary and the stylist left my hair to go and do other tasks like feed her child etc while she was working on me. Nothing against childcare but this was not a professional environment.
