Junior’s Barbershop

Grew up in Chicago, in a mostly Latino neighborhood. Yo hablo muy pocito Espanol. Though I try. Young woman, we'll call Alma, washed, cut, styled beard for $25. Have not seen those prices in years. I appreciated my practice of using my Spanish words to have a conversation with Alma. She was very forgiving of words I did not pronounce correctly. Never did she correct me in my speech. Also had a meaningful conversation with a gentlemen we'll call José. This is a great place to get a great haircut for a fraction of what most other barbers charge and expect the tip to be accommodating to the price. Juniors Barbershop is a local place i will go to again. Thank you Alma and José!!!

Usual wait time will be 1 hour and its not first come first served rather friends and family and community members first and everyone else last! Very common for them to let people cut the line just because they speak the same language and would say something, make a confused face and let others cut the line. Also, you can't schedule an appointment in advance and worst of all they only accept cash!! The haircuts are good but not worth the hassle. No one here speaks English so communication remains a constant challenge! If you have any value for you time then stay away from here!!

Best cut I've gotten since I left NYC! Well worth the wait, since they're taking their time to get it just right. Contrary to an earlier review, they do accept credit cards.

Consistent, high quality cuts. You can tell they care about their reputation. They primarily speak Spanish, so if you don't I recommend bringing a picture of the cut you want. Price has crawled up over the years but it's still worth it

Severely disappointed by this haircut. Thinned out my hair and cut it way too short. She barely left hair on my head. And I still had to pay $35 it was not worth the money and I will take me 6 months to grow it out. DO NOT PARRON if you don’t speak Spanish there is a language barrier
