J&R Nail Spa

First time here, got a basic manicure. Nail technician cut four cuticles too far back and they bled. She wiped the blood from cuticle cutter using a wet towel (the same used to wipe lotion from my hands and blood from my cuticles) and placed the cuticle cutter back with the rest of her tools (where she had gotten it from initially). I am not aware of their sanitizing practices, but it did not come out of — or go back into — a sanitizer before or after my manicure.

Gal who did my manicure used one of the machines to "cut" my cuticles rather than push them back, she left and indentation on all my natural nails that will now take a little of time to grow out. Not to mention my manicure was literally about 10 min. The photos are from a 2nd manicure about two weeks later at a different salon, so you can see the indentation a bit above my cuticle area now.

Been my go to nail place for the past few months! They do a great job and it’s affordable. The one time I had an issue I went in and they fixed it for me. Good atmosphere!

Had previously recommended this spot based on very pretty results. THIS IS AN UPDATED REVIEW** Nails come out looking beautiful, but they don't last! I had just gotten a new set, and ONE FILL in between, and 8 of my nails separated from the beds. I went in and requested to only be charged a fill price for a new set, since I had just gotten a new set. They led me to believe that was ok, but at the end, refused the discount for a job poorly done. So I paid full price for a new set with an insulting $5 off coupon. Anywho, new set new me! Pic #1&2 are how the nails looked when done (design by me, not J&R) #3 pic is the 1st nail broken in 4 days. The following pics are in order of week 1, 2, and 3. Finally I just cut them off to avoid damage to me real nails. Also, the pedicures are terrible.
