My mom and Aunt has been coming to SoYoung for many years in the AV. I am visiting from Washington State and was referred to come here. I love my hair! It has been so hard to find a good hair stylist and I finally found her!! She listened and did exactly what I wanted and beyond. Thank you~~❤️ Note the new location: Beauty El Salon 2044 W Ave K

Attitude is nice; but she doesn't follow direction as to what the client is asking for. I asked for a full service haircut; butterfly layers. It does not look nothing like the picture I kept showing her in case language was a barrier. As part of full service I am used to haircut, hair washed and style blowdry. She did a mediocre haircut, did not wash my hair and flat iron. I had specific asked for blowdry because I like to see my hair with volume and to show the work done. Will not recommend and definitely will not go back.

UPDATED REVIEW AS OF: JANUARY 2021 (Pictures has been added from Yelp) After a loooooong quarantine, I needed a trim bad. I immediately thought of visiting Soyoung to have my hair refreshed. Now, I am not sure what happened to her during the pandemic but she trimmed my hair as if she forgot how to cut hair. I asked for 2 inches off and she cut off more than 6 inches!!! She gave me a crazy layered look and insisted she kept the “length” I asked for by handing me the longest part of the botched layers (think 90s triangle layer cut). After 10 minutes, I hesitantly paid for my haircut because I am a decent human being. I literally cried when I got into my car because my hair was so nice and long… Thankfully, my friend fixed the disastrous hair I had to walk around in for A WEEK. I will neve

Soyoung did an amazing job. She was able to fit me in her schedule. Super friendly and gave me the hair style I wanted. I highly recommend.

I called requesting an appointment for a perm, and Soyoung was able to fit me in 2 days later. Before she started I let her know that I was a little nervous, and she addressed all my concerns. She did such a great job on my hair! I’m so happy with it! I will definitely be coming back.
