JJ Tiziou, LMT – West Philly Massage

I was gifted a massage from friends for relaxation. JJ was welcoming and very sensitive to my comfort, both physical and mental, during the session, and the massage was great! He even took extra time to give some great tips on additional stretches to help out some tight muscle groups. All told, a really lovely experience!

I HIGHLY recommend booking an appointment with JJ. I was experiencing very specific arm and shoulder pain and JJ was incredibly welcoming, a warm, clear communicator, and the massage session went by too quickly, it was really good. But most importantly I think it was his guidance and mindfulness during the massage that helped me unlock much needed awareness about other parts and systems of my body I've been neglecting. His stretching techniques he shared at the end of the session are phenomenal; I was blown away with how impactful yet easy they were. I came in for pain-management but left with a much-needed reminder of the importance of stretching and massage and body-mindfulness, and I am very thankful to JJ for this lesson and I will be returning for frequent visits.

I got a 90 minute massage from JJ and it was the best massage experience I've had! He established really great communication at the beginning which ensured he was able to give a great massage without ever applying more pressure than I was comfortable with. He incorporated a lot of stretches and manipulations that lent themselves very well to feeling tension release throughout my entire body. JJ also made the time to learn about my history of injuries prior to the massage which translated into a lot of care around my joints that are recovering. This was an incredibly valuable experience, I recommend it so highly!

I participated in the self-massage workshop using Lacrosse balls and other tools ("On the ball"). JJ's deep knowledge, warmth and flexibility allowed us to learn various techniques as well as collaborate with one another, sharing experiences and feedback. The workshop was empowering: kudos to JJ for being a massage therapist who supports our ability to take care of our own selves! I highly recommend it!

I participated in the Put Your Feet On Your Friend Workshop. JJ created a safe environment, gave clear instructions and demonstrations, and taught us many useful massage techniques. It was practical and accessible. Safely using elbows, forearms, feet and knees makes it so much easier than just using hands to give a massage. I highly recommend this workshop.
