Jean's African Hair Braiding

Unhappy. First time I received excellent service to just get my own hair cornrowed. I went back based on my first experience and was disappointed I thought by paying in advance and tipping 35% I'd be good right...wrong. I felt like the braider (who was not the same as the first) was intentionally trying to braid my hair too tight. It amazes me how you get most of your $ and business from African American Queens but mistreat us as if we aren't your brothers and sisters too. >:-/ I do not recommend this place.

Omg ❤❤💜💜💚💚💙💙🧡 I came to Jean's hair braiding and she is professional and very nice place is very clean and she did exactly what I want i didnt want the braids to long she did the length of what i ask. If u are looking for a good hair braiding shop come here I came all the way from Va to get my braids done and it was my first time here. The prices are very reasonable and I got a 20% discount .

The braids came out very neat and the same size all over my head. They also don’t take too long to do knotless. Pricing is also great!! If you’re thinking about it just come!

The 3 stars is for the 2nd visit. The first visit wqs 5 star. My stylist was Odette, I spoke on the phone with her and she told me a price of 140 for interlock maintenance, including washing. She was great. Now i return after 2.5 months. The owner i vuess is Janet was horrible and low vibrational. I could barely get her to schedule, i had to stop by in person because she stopped texting me responses 🙄 then we scheduled for next day, and even though it was 1pm and she texted to push it back to 3pm, i was fine..but she was rough, heavy handed with my locs that were delicate, and i thought low key spiteful. I came in to get my braids taking out. I let them know the length of my hair and where to cut. They proceeded to cut it shorter than what I preferred and attested by saying “I can see where your hair stopped. I promise I will not cut your hair.” Turns out, they did in fact cut my hair. I just recently got a trim May 16th and as you see in the attached photo, my ends now appear very CHOPPY and in need of ANOTHER trim. I let the salon know of this. The lady I spoke over the phone apologized, but when I asked for a refund for the service due to the fact that my hair has been CUT she responded by saying “HOW CAN YOU ASK ME THAT?” HELLO! MY HAIR HAS BEEN DAMAGED!! She suggested maybe I could come in and get a hairstyle instead, but I don’t understand why she would think I would come back to
