JCPenney Salon

I got my hair done today, I requested side swept bangs and a trim. I wanted to start cutting out my layers but instead Gus took off like 4-6 inches off my hair, made my layers even MORE prominent and gave me straight fringe. Not at all what I wanted and I even came in with a reference photo. I’m very disappointed because I’ve been trying to grow out my hair and now it’s much shorter than I wanted. If I try to have someone fix it to what I originally wanted I will have a long bob. 🥲 I will not be back. I wish I could just have a refund because I’m not having anyone try to fix my hair because I don’t want to lose anymore length than I have. I’m so disappointed and distraught. It’s so hard to find hair stylists to trust and now I’m just disappointed with a haircut that I didn’t want.

If you walk into the JCPenney salon and see Gloria working, turn around and get your hair done somewhere else! My mother and I went in for haircuts before my sister’s wedding, and my mother left sobbing. She and Gloria discussed what haircut she wanted with pictures, descriptions, etc and Gloria just started chopping, disregarding the photos that she said she had experience doing. It took my mom 10 years to grow her hair out to the length it was, and Gloria took that hard work away in seconds. They discussed a long swept bang to the side, and what is left is tattered. Pictures included so you can see the botched work. When we left in tears, they told us we didn’t have to pay because they KNEW my mother was wronged.

This was my daughter’s first visit to a salon she is 14 ,the experience was great .Kshay L was truly amazing she stayed past her time working with my daughter’s hair,very professional and explained every step of the process.From 4C to straight thanks for an amazing job.#silkpress

I'm Jayda's mother. We showed up on Saturday 02/22/2025. We came with pictures from all 4 different angles and had a semi consultation with Gloria , showing pics and discussing my daughters wedding while Gloria talked to the next beautician about her new baby and shots. She told me that another trusted client came in with the same pics and that this cut was her favorite and how she was excited to do my hair. My hair was about 4 inches past my shoulders. She immediately cut my hair to the bottom of my skull. No questions, no conversation. She then started chopping more in the back. Once she moved to the front, we had an entire conversation about the side swept bang and to keep it long just as the pictures depicted. I am very disappointed today, I did color my hair and highlights. I show them I before they color my hair which one I one ☝️. They totally make different color I hate this. I payed $145 to do this. It is just waste. Dora was the lady who did my color theater please don’t try with her at all. I told her this look different than what I want. She stated that “why you need red hair”? I was like because I want it. Just waste my money. Is this hair is red? I hate this place now just robbed me sucks.
