JCPenney Salon

My hairdresser recently moved to Burkley and my next maintenance appt. was until May. I was in big need of a hair cut and I didn’t want to spend a fortune. Every place I called was at least $50 dollars, and nobody had anything soon. So, I decided to give a try to JCPenney salon, it wasn’t my first time but the first time in like 7 years. I was able to schedule the appt. on the same day and right after work. My hair stylist was Julia (Juliane Curry) and she was absolutely amazing 💕she knew exactly how to take care of my wavy, frizzy, and chemically damaged hair. She gave me some great tips and did I mention she shampooed, conditioned and added some treatment to my hair for half the price you usually pay at other hair salons? Yesss!! We have been going to Brian for our haircuts for over 10 years. We trust him to always do a good job. He cuts my hair, my husband's hair, and our daughter's hair. He pays attention to the details, which is great since I can be picky. He really listens to what we need and prefer for our cuts and he will fix anything we point out that we want to change or fix during a cut. He's always in a good mood and so kind and funny. We spend the whole appointment conversing and laughing. He offers us water if we need it as well. All of us have thicker hair and mine and my daughter's hair tends to be longer. But I never have to worry when he cuts our hair. He does the best job. If he's not there, I would rather wait. Our daughter says she loves when he cuts her hair and he's the best!

I was very disappointed with the haircut I received on November 8th by Takindra a.k.a TK. I came into the salon with long hair and left with very short hair, which did not reflect the style I clearly communicated. The result was unsatisfactory and frustrating. To make matters worse, the stylist later contacted me directly in an argumentative manner, which only added to my frustration. Concerns should be handled by management to ensure professionalism, but in my case they were not. I ultimately had to file a formal complaint just to receive a refund, which speaks volumes about how poorly the situation was managed.

I was a walk in, receptionist was nice. I told her what I wanted and a lady named Grace said that she could do my hair in a couple of hours. I was told it would be 200 for a balayage and 45 for a hair cut which I decided I didn't want one. So they had my number and called me an hour early which, I was pretty excited about. Background story... My hair was all natural, no hair dye what so ever and took me 2 years to make it that way. Her brushing was kind of rough which wasn't to big of a deal. I said I wanted a balayage with icy blonde and added some plum purple into the mix. She convinced me that I should just get blonde.
