JCPenney Salon

I hadn't been in the salon for many years. I completely left my styled haircut up to a wonderful stylist, Christina A. She was thoughtful and I was amazed how great my haircut came out. I can't wait to return. Thank You CHRISTINA, Excellent haircut!!!!

I have been going to Penny's for over 5 years for my hair. This was the first time when I received service that was unacceptable. I had a 1:00 appointment for a single process color, haircut, and wax and was not done until 4:00. This has never taken this long. I was not taken until 1:15 and heard my hair dresser talking to the client about photos for Instagram. My hair dresser was not organized as a product needed for the shampoo process was not at the station along with the cleansing product needed for eyebrows. There was actually no cleansing product and tea tree oil was used instead. All of this was happening as I was waiting either in the sink for shampoo or waiting on the table. I have gotten a subtle angled haircut many times and I did not receive the cut I wanted. My hair was curled

I booked on the online platform and was so excited to find a Sunday late afternoon. I work full time and am a mother of 2 little kids. Finding a time that actually works for self care is rare! I was so excited for a haircut that just hasn’t fit into life recently. As I am pulling into the parking lot at 3:45 for my 4:00 and the salon calls and says there was a mistake and the time was double booked. I explained my situation and having to go home after to feed my kids and they said they would call the other person. The other person didn’t answer so I was bumped. I did not get my haircut and I am super sad. Anyone who is a working mom knows how hard it is to find time for self care. Oh well.

I'm a regular at the salon. Christina and Elizabeth are great! I had appointment this morning with Christina, she does an amazing job as always! However, there were 2 additional stylists in the salon with Christina. One stylist was doing toner on a client and the other stylist, she had green hair I believe, was sitting in a chair on her phone doing absolutely nothing. 3 additional people came in looking for hair products and asked the stylist sitting in a chair if she was free to help them and she told them no. The girl didn't even get out of her chair to help them! The whole time I was there for my appointment, the girl didn't move from that chair! What is she even doing there?! Everyone I've ever worked with at the salon has been super nice and helpful, but this girl just didn't seem to

Now that I’m finished crying, I will post a review. Just got a horrible haircut. I asked for 1 inch to be taken off, and at least 4 inches were taken, if not more. The stylist throughout my haircut kept saying how tired she was, I should’ve walked away the first time she said it. Certainly learned my lesson. Too mortified to post a picture. Had to have my mom come over and fix it. Also, had to re-wash my hair when I got home because there was a bunch of shampoo left in it… I know I have thick hair, but come on.
