Moved here from Jersey City, I was hesitant at first for using a new barber after spending years with my guy in JC. Happened across Jacks shop and he’s the best barber I’ve ever had. Great skills and really personable. Had me feeling like I’ve known him for years ever since day 1. I get compliments after every time I stop in. Tell everyone to go there, including my brother and multiple neighbors and friends. Could not recommend him more!

Jax’s Cave is my go to Barber shop. The place is clean and gives off good vibes. Jack is an artist with his scissors and straight razor. The fade/beard trim is always on point. Super easy to schedule an appointment with no wait time. Highly recommend!

Yo, that was the worst barber experience in US. I kept tellin' him I wanna let my hair grow, but he kept choppin' it way too short. I served a year in the army, and even there, I never got a cut this short. Dude kept stoppin' during the shave to do other stuff. It was hands down the worst experience of my life. If you wanna grow your hair, don't even think about goin' there. If you want that standard military cut, just go get it. The dude straight up messed up my 5 months of effort.

I love going to Jaxs Cave. I’ve been getting my cuts for over 20 years and he always does an excellent job. His attention to detail and his skills are amazing. You will not be disappointed!

Jax’s Cave is the ONLY SPOT to trust with your hair/beard needs. New to Newark and Ironbound 3 years ago I had been looking for a new consistent barber to keep me clean and professional, only to get messed up by some amateurs in the area. Stumbled upon this small, yet extremely classy shop called Jax’s Cave. Since that day, I wouldn’t trust anyone else to keep me looking good.
