Jemal is an excellent barber. This is the best barbershop in town IMO. He pays attention to detail and also offers excellent recommendations if you are trying out a new hairstyle. I always look sharp, awesome and confident after a haircut from him. He treats you as if you are family and in a sense he is also part of your family.

I've been seeing Jemal for 4 years now and the service has always been first class. He always creates a comfortable environment where you can hang out and get a great haircut or shave. Almost since day one, I've let him cut my hair how he wants and I always get compliments. He's also been cutting my son's hair since he was 3 years old and Jemal is great with him as well. When visiting J Powell's Barber Parlor you can expect refreshments, good music, a comfortable waiting area, and a nice haircut that includes razor shaving around the edges, hair wash, styling, and a shoulder massage. You leave there feeling like a king every time. I convinced my friend from out of town to get a haircut with Jemal one time he was visiting. When he got back, his wife went nuts over how good he looked.

Passed by yesterday, but a monthly must-do for my haircut. Great service from Jemal for several years!

Best barber in scv. Been going to him since he managed Apollo’s ~2012. Every time I come home I know I gotta go visit Jemal at his spot. Excellent, top quality cuts.
