J F Spillane Store

As a black woman, I was very skeptical about this place after reading comments about how people like me were treated. I had no issues whatsoever with them. I stepped in to buy braiding extensions and nobody followed me around. I think they’ve bought cameras and now have detectors at the door (not sure if these were there previously). The detector went off as I was leaving the store (I’m still not sure why, and neither were they) and the owner/manager came to diffuse the situation without insinuating that I stole anything. He also apologized multiple times.

Splains is a welcoming place, they have all sorts of this you may need with great prices! As well as providing for each client in a respectful and timely manner.

This store is huge and very clean, with a great selection of everything you might need. The price is great, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

This store is very clean, neat, and bright. The customer service is top notch, and the prices are great. This will be a go-to for me in this area. I am impressed.
