After moving away from SGV and getting my hair cut at several other places, I can safely say that Lily is one of the few stylists that I have encountered so far who actually does a phenomenal job at doing long, layered haircuts. I had been going to J.C. for more than ten years before moving and throughout these years, I have noticed that she's incredibly precise, takes her time, and is consistent. I also appreciate her styling tips once the cut is complete. Service is also fantastic--Lily and the rest of the staff have always been kind and welcoming.

The first time I went to wash my hair, I experienced a particularly peculiar process. I found it rather unusual when the hairstylist applied hair dye conditioner to my scalp, a new experience for me. Even after massaging my scalp, he asked if I wanted it on my hair ends. Shouldn't it be a 'hair conditioner,' meant for the hair ends? Upon returning home, I discovered my scalp had successfully taken on color, but my hair ends remained white. The $25 hair wash tested my scalp's pain tolerance. Dealing with my tangled hair, the hairstylist painstakingly used a flat comb, prompting a chuckle of resignation from me. Additionally, he manually pulled some knots. The best salon in town!! My family has been coming here for many many years. Lily and the rest of the staff are always extremely professional, sweet, and talented. They're equally skilled at styling for any gender. Prices are very reasonable and the space is clean, well-lit, and comfortable. What more can you ask for?? Highly recommend this salon for any hair/styling needs! 😊

Updated 4/18/2024. I thought, "Let bygone be bygones" and scheduled an appointment over the phone with Jason. When I got there, he had 2 other walk ins and told me to wait. What's the point of making an appointment? This isn't the first time he's done this. Oh well, going back to Hanna 2 doors down at #7707. Updated 8/4/2022. I've been coming here for 7 years and in the beginning, the owner Jason would cut my hair the way I wanted, but this year and raising men's cut to $12, he seems to give buzz cuts the way he wants, not what I want as a customer. It's time to explore other options....maybe his competition next door.

I come here since COVID and it's been great plus it is consistent on the haircut. The owner does take his time cutting your hair and patient.
