Island Spa & Massage

I made a temporary appointment for a massage, and it turned out to be the most comfortable experience recently! The masseuse's skills are excellent, able to accurately locate the sore areas, and after the massage, all the fatigue is gone. I must give a big thumbs up!

This is not the first time that my wife went to this place everybody are nice except to this new employee that we met today very rude and disrespectful to my wife. My wife purchased a couples massage in Groupon few months ago, the day it expires 4/15 my wife called them few days ago before coupon expires she asked if she can come Saturday that week, the lady said Yes and just screen shot the Groupon with code . Today when my wife came, this rude new employee said she cannot do the massage and my wife needs to call Groupon. Nobody told my wife to call the Groupon the only thing that lady said on the phone is to show the screen shot, now this lady raises her voice to my wife and told her to “get out of this place”Twice. My wife asked who she spoke to and this lady doesn’t even know where

I purchased this massage through Groupon, when I arrived, there was a language barrier, which made communication difficult. She was the only person there and showed me a picture of another Groupon that had been marked as used. So I pressed it to redeem mine, and after that she insisted it had already been used even though I showed her it was dated and time stamped today because I just pressed it just now in front of her. We went back and forth for about 20 minutes, and I was about to leave and another lady arrived and finally agreed to honor it. The massage itself was just okay, nothing special. Then, as I was leaving, she handed me a sheet stating that I was required to tip her $20. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Misguiding to call this a “spa”. I found it on Groupon and called to book before to make sure they had availability and they said to bring cash and pay directly instead of going through Groupon and they would honor the price. So I took a photo of the Groupon, brought it in and the Asian lady told me that it was incorrect. Couples massages were $85 each she said but would do $60 if we paid cash. I was in pain and at this point just wanting relief in my neck so I agreed and paid up front. Massage was good for me as she really helped with my pulled muscle but my boyfriend wasn’t too impressed (although looking at the reviews I’m just grateful he didn’t get scratches down his back!). Wasn’t the greatest experience… my friend got this as a gift for us. She assumed this was the closest place to me. It wasn’t but that was on her. The issue began because of a Groupon issue where I had to wait 30min after arrival for the appointment, before they could approve the Groupon my friend already paid for. This place is more of a cash only type of place even heard them say they would prefer the payments in cash. They also mentioned to avoid Groupon to make it an easier process next time.
