Imperial Barbershop & Hair Salon

I hate to leave a bad review but I'd like others to avoid the humiliation. For starters I am a female presenting person. I was drawn to this place because of them advertising that they are a highly rated unisex salon and I was impressed by the pictures of their hair designs. I booked an appointment online for 1pm. I arrived about 5 minutes late and apologized once I was finally able to flag someone down. No one is at the desk to check you in or greet you. I ended up waiting an hour to be seen. They put me with someone extremely young (not who I booked with). This in itself isn't a problem but unfortunately even though he said he was comfortable doing the taper fade and textured top I asked for, he had to get assistance from a more senior barber to cut the top of my hair. Omar and the rest of the people at the shop care about your hair and life.. You get your haircut and a clean shave every time... Some of the kindest people you will have the chance to meet. I encourage you to call and schedule ahead of time because the shop gets busy with regular walk-ins.. The weekends are busy so weekdays work best!

I rarely leave reviews, but this needs to be said. I gave this shop second chance & was disrespected even worse than the first time. No courtesy, no professionalism, no accountability. A barber shop lives on repeat customers—I won’t be back, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who expects basic respect. At this point it’s clearly the culture of this shop. Zero professionalism, Instead of making customers feel welcome, they make you feel like you’re an inconvenience for paying them. If you value your time, dignity, or money—go literally anywhere else. Plenty of barbers out there who know how to treat people like humans , Two visits. Two bad experiences. That’s not a bad day—that’s a bad business. Omar is the best in town! He always gets me and my son very freshened up! Very professional and everyone in the shop is very welcoming! I recommend Imperial all day everyday!

Haircut looked good. But the appointment was at 2:15 didn't even walkout until almost 4. Btw 20 minutes after 2:15pm would be 2:35pm, he was not in a chair until 2:58pm. Seems pointless to have online booking, if you're not going to abide by the appointment times while having people prepay online. Regardless, your tone in your replies back to your customers tells me what I need to know on how you run your business.
