I made my appointment with high hopes of finding a new salon, but from the moment I walked in I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I entered directly at the front desk and said good morning to three women standing there. None of them responded and they continued their conversation for several minutes. When they finally finished, one walked away and the other took my name and called out to the one who left, saying, “She’s yours.” No greeting, no introduction. At that point I considered leaving, but I had already worked up the courage to try a new salon, so I stayed.
