Was the worst haircut I've ever had, she used thinning shears wrong along with the razor. She cut one spot shorter than the rest, leaving a dent in my hair. I use the same photo as I do everywhere else, and this is the worst no doubt. Great clips even had done a better job.

Hands down the best salon in Brookings. Men, treat yourself, these ladies know hair. I've never been called handsome so many times in my life since coming to illusions. THANK YOU!!! P.S. men, tip well. Their prices are way below average for the quality they deliver. If you were driven there by my recommendation you better tip them WELL. P.S. Sorry your MULLET got shaved off LOL maybe make better choices in the future, these ladies aren't miracle workers.

Barb Converse, I have had very good experiences at Illusions over the past few years. The hair styles are knowlegeable and help me look my best. I enjoy my appointments; I have my hair highlighted, cut, and styled, and eyebrows shaped. I am treated with respect; I know when I leave I am looking my best!

If 0 stars were an option!! I went in with an inches-long modern mullet style cut. I told her I wanted my sides shaved down to a 1 and to leave the rest of it alone, went into detail about my hairline- how it’s a huge insecurity.. what does the stylist do? She decides to take the 1 and shave the back of my head up to the hairline? Taking off my mullet in the process. A hairstyle I worked months to grow out! I am beyond devastated at what is left of my hair. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND for anyone with thin hair/ wants the haircut they want.. This isn’t the place for you. Go somewhere where the stylist will listen to their customers own personal needs and not go buzz happy on someone’s head, giving them the haircut they wanted to give them. I’m always pleased when Jenny does my hair. The conversation is great and my hair turns out just the way I like it! She has been my hairdresser for over 6 years and she knows exactly how I like my hair styled and everything.
