I had my first session with Mark Williams at six weeks post–spine surgery, and I couldn’t be more impressed. He was attentive, careful, and communicative throughout, while still being strong, thorough, and highly effective. Mark took the time to understand the needs of my body and thoughtfully addressed all the accessory muscle tension that had built up during recovery. I left feeling supported, safe, and genuinely better. An excellent first experience — I would wholeheartedly recommend him, especially for anyone recovering from surgery or needing focused therapeutic massage. I will definitely return.

I’ve worked with many, many massage therapists over the years and I say without hesitation that Mark Williams is the very best practitioner I’ve met. I first met Mark a few years ago, shortly after I was (finally) accurately diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that had caused me many years of unrelenting pain and taken away my ability to live and function. For example, I had become unable to drive due to neck pain too severe for me to turn to check my blind spot, and I had lost my ability to do tasks that required bending or reaching, such as grocery shopping or household chores. Having only turned 50, my outlook was bleak and it was difficult to find optimism. I came to Mark seeking relief from chronic lower back pain, with the intention of using massage as an addition to other treatments I’m receiving. Mark was very attentive to my specific needs and did relieve my discomfort. He has a very healing touch and I plan on continuing my massage therapy with him for quite some time. I would highly recommend Mark to all.

I am active with tennis, dancing, yoga and hiking, but after all of that, I do have back and hip pain issues. Mark is an excellent bodywork professional – he hones right in on the places where I have knots, working them out with just the right amount of pressure. His knowledge of musculature results in finding related areas that impact where I felt sore, and I am surprised to find that there is soreness there, too! While not a “feel good” massage (apparently he can also do that), I have Mark work on pain and discomfort issues for me so that I can keep my activities going. Instead of my back feeling “locked up” and rigid, after Mark’s work I am loosened up, and definitely have better mobility, and comfort. Excellent!
