Hubbard Place

We have lived here for 6 months. We picked this building two years prior after looking at other buildings in the neighborhood, this was by far the most friendly staff, high end facilities and modern units we had seen. We love the neighborhood, it has an abundance of great restaurants, bars and is an easy walk to the river and the loop. Everything about Hubbard Place is amazing but it is the staff that truly make it special. Looking forward to many years here enjoying the views of the city, Chicago River and all those Amtrak trains coming and going!!!

We've had a great experience living at Hubbard Place. The staff is awesome — especially the maintenance and package teams, who are always friendly, responsive, and reliable. The building feels very secure. Management is flexible, accommodating, and easy to communicate with, making it an overall great place to live.

This is advertised as a 4 pipe building but it’s not. They switch over to heat and you’re not able to run cool air. This is frustrating on the days it’s 60° in February or November and you can’t run AC and the apartment is 76°. Why advertise and have people pay a premium for an amenity that is not actually offered? There’s also so many maintenance issues, heat going out when it was negative degrees out, 1 of the elevators had been out of service for months, and now the front door to the building has been removed due to malfunction. Super safe and love paying for a luxury apartment building!!

Terrible experience with Hubbard Place. While the building is decent, dealing with management is horrendous. I lived in this building for 3 years. I had my car broken into twice in the dedicated garage space for tenants, which is also a public garage. Maintenance staff was incredible, particularly Tony. He should be promoted. I was slapped with a 3000$ fee for “necessary balcony reparations” when I moved out for normal use of a concrete balcony for 3 years. The new management is notorious for this kind of behavior, just search “Greystar Management lawsuits.” There are many places you could pursue luxury rentals in Chicago, I’d really think twice if you are considering Hubbard place. P.S: Also, the pool gets very little sunlight during the summer!!

We loved living at Hubbard. Our place was beautiful with absolutely incredible views. Get a high 01 unit if you can. The maintenance staff, the front desk, the sales people, and the mail room attendant were all super helpful and as friendly as can be. And you cannot beat the location. Quiet area, close to multiple restaurants and the East Bank club.
