I really wanted to support this salon because it’s local and so close to home, but my experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I walked in hoping to book a haircut and possibly get a consultation. I was told all stylists were busy, which I completely understood, and was assured a stylist would reach out to me directly. I left my phone number and was told someone would contact me shortly. No one ever did. After several days, I called back to follow up. I explained the situation and was apologized to again, and once more I was told a stylist would reach out to me. Unfortunately, that also never happened. I drove all the way from Arizona to California just to get my balayage done at House of Elan — and it was 100% worth it! Lema is truly an artist. She took her time, matched my vision perfectly, and gave my hair the most beautiful, seamless blend. The salon itself is gorgeous and the team is so welcoming. I left feeling confident, refreshed, and already planning my next visit back.

Unfortunately, I feel the need to write a review a few weeks after I had received a service from Sara. I am really disappointed because my very first service with Sara last year was so amazing but this time I was very disappointed and I couldn’t even adequately. tell how bad the balayage she gave me was until time progressed. I thought it was just the tone of the hair that I didn’t like but after seeing it day by day, I realize just how horribly patchy and just overall really not well done. It was the experience also wasn’t great. I was triple booked between other clients so it felt like the entire process was just very rushed and no communication really was had. I emphasize that. I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this salon. I had an appointment with Roxana and made it very clear that I wanted to keep the length of my hair. I specifically said not to touch the ends, and even mentioned that if it needed a tiny trim, I would have my boyfriend do it. Despite that, I discovered after the appointment that she had cut off about six inches, if not more. I’ve been growing my hair out for years — years of patience, care, and consistency — and all of that progress was undone in a single appointment. What makes this even more frustrating is that this is not something that can be easily fixed, like a color correction or adjusting a few layers. Hair takes time to grow back. I had a great experience with Sue. She did a wonderful job coloring and cutting my hair. I came out with the shiniest and healthiest looking hair I’ve ever seen on myself!
