I had a mixed experience during my recent appointment. On the positive side, he was on time, the pricing felt fair for a color correction ($230), and I was happy with the final haircut result. From a technical standpoint, I would rate the talent highly. However, the overall interaction felt tense and critical from early in the appointment. During the consultation, I brought a few inspiration photos. He mentioned they appeared to be AI-generated and said he prefers clients bring 4–5 photos, though that wasn’t communicated beforehand. I apologized for not realizing the photos were AI and offered to reschedule if needed. I also asked if he could ask me questions so I could better explain what I was looking for. Despite that, the tone remained sharp and impatient. During the service, he said

I did go through a few different hair stylists but all of them were great. I had Tabby, Kambree, and now Megan Jessy. And each time was a wonderful experience. I was too scared for a long time to chop my hair off or get away from dying my hair black because it was just low maintenance. Being a mom and living an hour and a half away from this salon, I don’t always get the chance to get my hair done often. You can tell it’s a good place to cut you hair when they are booked out for weeks. This place was definitely worth the wait. Austin did a great job on my hair and took the time to make through all my thick layers. This place was bustling and was recommended to me by several people before I finally pulled the trigger and went in. My cut looks just like the pic I asked for and he even recommended some subtle differences for my hair type to make it look better. This pic shows the “messy” look I wanted for the days I don’t want to try too much, but it also translates well to a curled or straighted look.

Honey + Hive is a top-notch salon that provided me with an incredible hair upgrade, Hannah Melton specifically is the young lady who keeps my hair in great shape and a beautiful blonde! Hannah listened to my preferences and delivered a stunning cut and color that surpassed my expectations. The salon's inviting atmosphere, use of high-quality products, emphasis on continued education for their stylists, and exceptional customer service made my experience truly exceptional. I highly recommend Honey + Hive, and Hannah Melton specifically, to anyone seeking a hair upgrade and a memorable salon experience.
