Hollywood Nails of Brookside

EDIT: haven't had my nails on for a week and my thumb on my left had had broken off just now and I didn't even feel it! I paid $150 for crappy nails so this dropped them down to a 1 star. My nail tech wouldn't have been talking about me and my daughter in her language and just talking to everyone else in her language the whole time. The young man who did my daughter's nails was very kind and spoke to us both and took a genuine interest in the both of us, he deserves 5 stars!!!!!

I started going here regularly a few months ago and it seems that their customer service has gone downhill quickly. This last time, I called to make an appt for an acrylic fill and when I got to the salon, they set me up for a pedicure. when I told them that wasn’t what I asked for, the woman was rude and had an attitude with me when I was explaining what I wanted for my nails. she didn’t understand what I wanted and a young man did my nails instead. I picked out a cat eye polish and he began doing my nails. I come to find out, he was not familiar with cat eye and didn’t know the process well. he had to get help from other nail techs (which I didn’t mind, just wish he would’ve told me he didn’t know how to do it) and my nails didn’t come out well. he also began doing a design on my thumbs

They may have a clean and bright space, but the customer service was rude and uninviting. I visited Hollywood Nails yesterday for the first time with a group of friends. This is not my usual nail salon, but one of my friends had a gift card, so I decided to give it a try. When I walked in, I was instructed to choose a color from the books and the “color keychain” table. None of the colors were labeled as Gel, Dip, or Shellac, so I selected two colors I liked. Once seated at the manicure station, I asked if I could see the bottles for both dip colors so I could make a final decision. The technician flatly told me, “No,” explaining that dip colors look different than the bottles and she was not going to bring them over. I explained that I was looking for a true red. I randomly visited this salon once, and now I never go anywhere else! The owner (and all of the nail artists) are so kind. You feel like family the way they treat you. I only go here because the attention to detail is so good, I can’t remember one time I’ve had a bad experience with my nails or pedicure. The environment is clean, and they have drinks available. I don’t think I’ve ever had a long wait time, but I also book my appointments in advance. I will say that I’m glad they are patient and flexible since I’ve had to edit my appointments at times before!

Wonderful nail salon. I won’t go anywhere else. They’ve just updated with all new pedicure and nail stations with three new lines of nail color. All of their nail professionals are great! I’ve never had a bad set and I’ve been visiting their salon for years. Highly recommended!
