Beware! I've been here twice. The first was fine. On the second visit, they turned my hair orange then Christmas red, and kept me there for almost 6 hours trying and failing to fix it. They repeatedly ignored my requests to just play it safe and take it back to my natural brown. Then, the owner refused to reduce price or refund, claiming that they'd performed the service and now the goal was to "make you happy." I can't imagine how they could have failed at that much worse. I asked for subtle, diffuse copper highlights. I left ~$250 poorer with 2 big, wierd, trashy looking magenta stripes - one in my bangs and one on the back of my head - and nearly in tears. So I never get my hair cute to often but I decided to. I had long hair and I went with a bob look. Sophie was my hair cut lady. I am so mad it’s disgusting that I pay to have my hair cut a certain way and it was definitely not at all how I wanted it. My hair is horrible looking and I work at a school now I half to go to work looking stupid. My hair is so uneven and way shorter on the sides and not what I asked. This is why I don’t get my haircut often due to this kinda crap. I am so mad and she even styled it with curls now I know why she knew it was messed up and she was trying to hide it so I wouldn’t notice and it worked I noticed how bad my hair was when I straightened it. I’ve been here for about a year and absolutely love it! From the minute you sit down in the chair to when you leave, it is a professional and excellent service. The staff are so kind and their teamwork and passion for hair is a step above. I love getting treatments for my hair and all of the education the staff provide to improve my dryness and hair health. The best part is the luxury spa feel creating a sensory experience— the separate wash room with comfy lounge seats, the head/neck massage and jade mask are my favorite parts. Definitely recommend! Stylists Rachel, Kristen, and Olivia are amazing.

AMAZING!! I went in January 7th for a haircut. Wanted to get consultation on color since I was still not sure about it due to wanting something dramatic, but didn’t want to bleach my hair. After a lot of consulting, my stylist Sophia with help from another stylist Rachel came back with a plan and I decided to go for it. Not going to lie, I was really, really nervous. I had Black colored hair for several years. This was something totally different. A couple hours later the result left me speechless. I absolutely LOVED it. My hair was still super healthy, and a color I did not think was achievable. I cannot recommend them enough. I forgot to mention that all the employees are very nice and accommodating. If you ever have the pleasure of going to Hollywood Hair in Edwardsville you need to go to Olivia! She is THE best - did gods work as I would like to say. The whole staff is kind and accommodating ! Snacks, full service bar, and a list of treatments to pick from. If you want it, they will find a way! Seriously cannot wait to go back & if anyone is looking for a wonderful salon, choose Hollywood Hair!
